Volunteers at Discovery Lab impact lives by igniting curiosity and facilitating exploration with children and their families. Our volunteers are students, teachers, retirees, stay-at-home parents, and professionals all united in support of the Museum’s mission.

Tulsa Children’s Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit that operates under the name of Discovery Lab with the mission to inspire children, connect families, and build community through exploration, exhibits, programming, and play. The museum relies on the donations of foundations, corporations, and individuals to meet its operating needs each year and continue to provide world-class programming to all children and families. Discovery Lab is an educational resource for Tulsa and the surrounding region whose exhibits and programming encourage the development of critical process skills, including communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Educational content focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), and health and wellness, and complements and supplements current school curriculum.
