2022 Summer Camps

There’s so much to discovery about the world around us! Fun, hands-on activities focus on science content, such as chemistry, engineering, and coding. Ranging from a few hours to a whole week, your children will be excited to discover more at Discovery Lab.

Summer of Discovery 

 
Available for Pre-K to 6th graders. Children may register for the class grade they are leaving or entering based on personal preference for appropriate development. 
 
Cost:
  • Full day camps for members: $261*
  • Full day camps for nonmembers: $290*
  • Half day camps for members: $112.50
  • Half day camps for nonmembers: $125

Lunch is included in the cost of full days of camp. 

Each week or summer beginning June 6 to August 12. 
Times:
Pre-K + Kindergarten: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
1st - 6th Grade: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
 
*Before- and after-care is available for the week: $50 before and $50 after. After care not available for 1/2 day camp.
Before-care: 8 - 9 a.m.
After-care: 4 - 5 a.m.
 
Please return the 2022 Summer Camp Release Form before the first day of camp.

Nature Art June 6-10 Inspiration for creativity is all around us!  Your budding artist will learn how to both appreciate and use the natural world around them to create unique and beautiful works of art. It’s biology meeting artistry in this fun-filled adventure. Register
What's Bugging You? June 13-17 Let your little scientist discover the tiny and fantastic world of creatures that slither, slide, wiggle, and hop. What’s the difference between a beetle and a bug?  How many legs does a millipede have? How does a snail move without any legs? These and other mysteries will be unearthed at Discovery Lab. Register
Science Detectives June 20-24 Your kids will be able to solve a mystery throughout the week; learning about forensic finger printing, secret codes, facial recognition, and more. Register
Animal Super Senses  June 27 - July 1 Are bats really blind? Why do raccoons wash their food? Animals experience the world differently than we do. Bring your young naturalist to Discovery Lab to learn how and why that is! SOLD OUT
Dinosaurs Days July 5-8 Bring your budding paleontologist to Discovery Lab for a week of digging into the creatures that dominated our landscape during the Mesozoic era. SOLD OUT
Loco-Motion July 11-15 Your little one is constantly on the move, so bring them to Discovery Lab to learn all about movement! Whether it’s a car or plane, pushing or pulling, we’ll discover how the whole world moves.  Register
Color My World July 18-22 Your young artist can learn about the color wheel, ROYGBIV, and all about the vibrant colors and how they see them at this week-long Discovery Lab adventure. Register
Making Music  July 25-29 Does your little one love music? Learn the basics of sound and music in a week-long investigation of vibrations, resonance, and more! Campers will find music in the strangest places using everyday materials in ingenious ways. Register
Tulsa TIme! Music + Art  August 1-5 Part of what makes Tulsa so special is the endless treasure trove of music and art! Become immersed in the rich history and the many diverse and beautiful styles we can see right here in T-Town. We’ll create, sing, and play just like our inspiring local artists. Register
Planet Water August 8-12 Water, water, everywhere! Whether it's flowing in a river, trickling in a stream, or crashing in an ocean, your child will learn the importance of water and the different ways it makes up our world. SOLD OUT

Alternative Ways to "Go" June 6-10 Your young scientist is full of energy, let them come use it here at Discovery Lab. From wind, chemical, solar, and more, your child will learn about all sources of energy. Register
Art +Nature  June 13-17 Your young artist will learn how nature and art work together to create a masterpiece in this biology and artistry mashup! Register
What's Bugging You? June 20-24 Your young scientist might already know the difference between a bug and an insect, and that bees live in a hive. In this week-long camp, we delve deeper into what makes those creepies crawl. Register
Detective Science  June 27 - July 1 Let your little detective channel their inner sleuth. Your child will learn the science behind invisible ink, forensic fingerprinting, secret codes, and other fun activities all for the purpose of solving a mystery. SOLD OUT
Animal Super Senses July 5-8 Does your little one wonder how animals experience the world around them? Learn how animals use their senses differently than humans. Which animals rely on scent more than sight, which ones can’t see at all, and much more! Register
Color My World July 11-15 Colors make up our world! What’s the difference between light and pigment? How do we make dyes and paints? We explore all this and more with our paintbrushes and minds during this colorful camp. SOLD OUT
Rock Hounds July 18-22 How are fossils created? What are gemstones and why are they so special? Your scientist will learn how to classify minerals and more during their week at Discovery Lab! SOLD OUT
Indigenous Technologies July 25-29 Your young scientist will learn about innovation and problem-solving skills developed by Indigenous people in this wide-ranging camp.  Register

Weather Wonders  August 8-12 Wind, rain, snow, and sun. Oklahoma gets it all! In this week-long adventure, your young meteorologist can learn all about the weather they experience, and how it happens. SOLD OUT

Animation June 6-10 Welcome to the art of animation! During this colorful camp your artist will learn all the necessary tricks and tools to create your own digital stories. Your child will draw upon the foundations of previous great artists to bring their stories to life. Register

Come spend a week with your head in the clouds, learning what keeps things up and how we get them back down. Campers will launch, pilot, design and collaborate on wonderful ways to defy gravity. Citizen Science  June 20-24 Your child can become a part of something larger than themselves! Your scientist will participate in collecting data to expand the public’s understanding of water quality, bird populations, and more. Register

Planet Water July 11-15 Water is our most important resource and it’s found in many different ecosystems. From the smallest raindrop to the largest ocean, your scientist will learn how water has shaped our world and how we harness it. Register
Tulsa's Building + Style July 18-22 Tulsa is known for its Art Deco architecture and unique style. Bring your child to this week-long discovery of architecture and engineering around Tulsa. Register
Inside Out: Dissection Lab July 25-29 What better way to learn how something works than to open it up? Through dissection, your scientist will learn about body systems, organs, and how they work.  Register
Indigenous Technologies August 1-5 Your scientist will learn about innovation and problem-solving skills developed by Indigenous people in this wide-ranging camp. Register

Danger Bugs June 27 - July 1 Some small critters can pack a powerful punch! Come learn the wild tricks of some of our lesser-known creeping crawlers. How they live and survive as small guys in this big world. Register
Citizen Science July 5-8 Your child can become a part of something larger than themselves! Have your children participate in collecting scientific research to expand the public scientific database and be a part of the scientific community. Register

STEAM + Art Deco July 25-29 From the stylized ornamentation of our unmistakable buildings to the power of geometry and design everywhere, come discover the beauty of Art Deco architecture and the engineering behind it. Register
