Discovery Lab Membership

Year-round family fun comes with every membership to Discovery Lab and it pays for itself in as little as three visits!  Memberships also make great gifts. The benefits of membership include:

Reciprocal Membership

As a member of Discovery Lab, you may visit other ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) accredited institutions participating in their Passport Program. This applies to any level of membership.  As a Family Level Member or higher, you may also visit other ACM (Association of Children’s Museums) accredited institutions participating in their reciprocal network.

Family Patron

All the benefits of a Family PLUS membership for two named adults and six dependent children under 18, ten complimentary gift passes, and an additional named adult caregiver card. A purchase of a Discovery Lab Family Patron membership supports our mission to inspire children, connect families, and build community through exploration, exhibits, programming, and play.

A portion of your membership may be tax deductible as allowed by law. Patron name will be recognized in the Annual Report.

Membership FAQs

Discovery Lab memberships make a great gift! Gift memberships can be purchased online or over the phone.
A caregiver card is another named adult on several of the membership levels and is a great way to add a babysitter, caregiver, or grandparent to your membership. Please always call ahead to verify the number of admission tickets. A list of those museums can be found here: findachildrensmuseum.org/reciprocal-network/.
With the exception of the Just for Two membership option, Discovery Lab memberships include admission for two named adults. Additional adults, caregivers, etc. can be added to your membership for an additional fee. Note: Membership levels for Family Premier and up include caregiver cards; this is perfect for adding grandparents or a babysitter. Caregiver cards may be replaced with an additional child.
All adults on the membership must be named, so either parents or grandparents that will use the membership. The primary and secondary adult cardholders own the membership and are able to request changes and information concerning the membership. Note: At the time of joining, all adults included on the membership should be named. Only those listed on the membership will be allowed free entry.
There are three easy ways to purchase a membership:

3. In-person at the front desk with the Guest Experience staff.

Absolutely! When you visit Discovery Lab and purchase general admission tickets, you can apply your ticket costs toward a membership at any time on the day of your visit. The number and type of applicable tickets varies with the membership level you purchase. Present your receipt from your admission to the museum that day at the front desk. 

No need to wait! Download the Museums Anywhere app and you will have your membership with you no matter where you are.  We encourage you to download your free digital card once you receive email instructions.
