April is National Volunteer Month! We want to recognize the people who give their time and expertise to make the world a better place. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'" Discovery Lab has more than 200 registered volunteers that not only make a difference on the exhibit floor, but also in our programs, events, and everyday operations.
What made you want to volunteer at Discovery Lab?
I am in the Tulsa Achieves Program at Tulsa Community College (TCC) and have to volunteer for so many hours to receive credit.
What do you enjoy most while volunteering at the Lab?
I enjoy engaging with kids and teaching them exciting things that can relate to an ordinary day.
What do you do in your spare time?
Other than being a student, I like going to the gym, hiking, and fishing.
